Jessica Beck founder of Kindred Canine on Salt Spring Island, BC, offers holistic canine behavior therapy. Author of "Kindred Bonds: Transforming Trauma," she partners with rescue organizations as a behavior consultant and serves as a speaker and mentor in the field.

Jessica has studied and completed advanced education programs most notably with: Dr. Tom Mitchell, Karolina Westlund PhD, Trust Technique, and in 2024 received an advanced Canine Nutrition Diploma. In 2004, Jessica received her first dog training certificate from then the most recognized program by Dr. Ian Dunbar. She went on to the Karen Pryor Academy and later pursued a masters-level education with the Companion Animal Sciences Institute.

Family Legacy

Jessica grew up in a family of professional dog handlers, competing across North America and learning from top handlers in Canada and California. By age 9, she was already teaching dog handling classes, mentored by her mother, a respected CKC All-Breed judge.
